Bring gentle charm to baby and children’s sewing with this elegant little bee embroidery design. The bee has a bright yellow and black striped body, light blue wings, soft pink cheeks and large eyes that give it a friendly, storybook feel. It is an easy choice for baby gifts, nursery pieces and clothes for young children where you want something cute without looking fussy.
With 5 thread colours and a moderately dense build, it gives good detail in the face, wings and tiny antennae while still keeping a clean cartoon look. It would sit especially well on baby bibs, sleepsuits, cardigans, quilt corners, muslin cloths and fabric storage baskets for a nursery. The range of sizes makes it useful for anything from a small chest motif to a larger feature on a blanket or cushion front.
