This design captures a classic Marshall University sports look with a stylised bison mascot set over a large block M and the word MARSHALL beneath. The curved banner-like shape on the mascot’s head, along with the horns, shaggy beard, teeth and whiskers, gives it the assertive feel of an older-school team logo rather than a plain lettermark. It suits alumni, long-time supporters and anyone drawn to Marshall’s 1970 to 2001 era of Thundering Herd imagery.
With only two thread colours, the green-and-white palette keeps the design clean and recognisable on sweatshirts, varsity-style jackets, hoodies and sturdy cotton tees. Because it is a dense, heavily stitched design, it is best suited to stable fabrics that can carry a solid sports emblem without losing definition. It makes the strongest impact on garment fronts, jacket backs, gym bags or blanket corners where that big M and bison head can read clearly at a glance.
